Explorers

Explorers, aged from 14 to 18, are encouraged to lead themselves in deciding the programme and direction of the Unit, with support and guidance from leaders.

We meet on Tuesdays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm

Explorers are encouraged to lead themselves in deciding the programme and direction of the Unit, with support and guidance from leaders.

The section also includes the Young Leaders Scheme, where young people are able to take on a leadership role in one of the younger sections at 2nd Molesey.

There is wider scope for activities such as offshore sailing, mountaineering, expeditions, Duke of Edinburgh Award and international experiences such as Kandesteg in Switzerland. 

The top awards for the Explorers section are the Chief Scout’s Platinum and Diamond Awards as well as the King's Scout Award.

We were delighted to have had representation from our Unit and Esher District for the last 5 World Scout Jamboree's.
